WHAT IS PICNIC SOCIAL?

Picnic Social is a social summer gathering celebrating the locally sourced food, beer, culture & community of Greater Lincolnshire, in an iconic venue. Join us for a three week long summer gathering celebrating the best of Lincolnshires food, culture and community.

By day discover & indulge in the regions finest produce in the summer sun.

By night kick back to a summer soundtrack with craft beers and artisan spirits, and sample incredible eats to suit every taste.

Mon - Wed: 10am - 5pm

Thurs - Sun: 10am - 11pm

Where is Picnic Social located?

The beautiful Lincoln Castle! (LN1 3AA)

CAN I BRING A PICNIC?

Absolutely! The clue's in the name. However, we have the tastiest food traders Lincolnshire has to offer too. We highly recommend trying these out too! Alcohol is not permitted.

Is it free to enter?

Yes! Entry is FREE from Mon - Friday (5pm)

Entry will be £2 from Friday (5:01pm) - Sunday.

Under 16’s can go free throughout.

What if it rains?

Fingers crossed it doesn’t, but we do have a large covered marquee to keep you dry if so.

CAN I BRING ALCOHOL?

No alcohol can brought into the premises. We have 3 bars inside catering for all tastes! Any guests found to be bringing in and/or consuming their own alcohol will be escorted from the venue.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes! we have a designated dog friendly weekend on the 23rd & 24th July & 6th & 7th August only but all dogs must be kept on a lead. Only assistance guide dogs are permitted in after those dates.

Can I bring a chair?

Yes, chairs will be allowed.

ARE THE GROUNDS AND ATTRACTIONS SUITABLE FOR WHEELCHAIRS

Yes, however the entrance via East gate does have a lot of cobbles due to the nature of the old building.

Can I bring a pram or pushchair?

You are welcome to bring prams and pushchairs into the grounds.

Will dietary needs be catered for?

We will have a variety of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free products on offer. Speak to each individual trader to find out more!

What entertainment & experiences do you have on?

From Norman Jay MBE, to the wine guy, yoga in the castle, to BBC Radio Lincolnshire live, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Picnic Social. Enjoy cocktails, delicious eats and a summer sound track supplied by the cities finest disco, funk & soul brands.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

Children under 16 MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. We kindly ask that each child wears a Picnic Social wristband with their parent/guardian’s contact number on.

No bad vibes - This is a family friendly event. Please respect others!

No chairs are permitted. There are picnic benches inside.

No glass bottles

No alcohol can be brought into the venue. We have plenty inside for you!

No stereo systems

Cyclists welcome but please don’t ride your bikes within the castle grounds.

No weapons, sharp objects; except legitimate picnic items.
